Heading up the Commercial Shipping desk within the EMEA and focusing on dry cargo.

I work for Faststream Recruitment and have the ability to utilise 6 years’ industry experience of working for a dry bulk / MPP owner in Operations and Chartering, combined with a wealth of contacts. I work with leading shipping companies to recruit for commercial shipping positions including Charterers, Operators and higher management roles in the EMEA region. My clients vary across many sub sectors, including Shipping lines, Vessel owners, Trading houses, broking shops and ports.

My position involved chartering for the short sea Dry Cargo fleet of 5-8,000 DWT vessels, trading in Europe, Med-Black Sea. Daily duties included running voyage calculations, negotiating fixtures / charter-parties and taking commercial decisions in order to maximise profits.

While carrying out the operations for the MPP fleet of 20 vessels, I was also assisting the Bunker Manager with arranging the purchase and delivery of the marine fuels and lubricants. This was in addition to the day to day operator role and during the bunkering managers absence, I was responsible for the bunkers across the fleet of 60+ vessels.

Managing the day to day operations of a fleet of mini-bulkers/MPP vessels between 5,000 & 12,000 DWT ships. Liasing with the chartering department to ensure the vessels and cargo perform the voyage to the highest standards.Duties included:- Sending of voyage Instructions- Apointment of port agents- Arranging surveys- Managing claims - Checking Masters stow plan to ensure maximum cargo uplift.- Checking freight invoices- Assisting with laytime calculations

Working as a laminator / boat builder in Italy and Slovenia on racing and luxury carbon yachts. During the period I worked on many types of yachts, including:- Groupe Bel, IMOCA Open 60- Wally yachts- Shipman yachts (Shipman 50 and 70)- Maxi-Dolphin yachts (MD 51)
