I currently work at John Cotton Group as the UK IT Manager. I manage five sites in the UK from an IT perspective, encompassing all the regular day-to-day requirements for the business as well as all IT projects. I worked for Xerox in the communication services department and handled the support element of the platform they build. My main role was to be the end user and application support manager, however, my title didn't really reflect this. My main responsibilities were to ensure the smooth running of the platforms we designed for our customer base as well as ensure customer satisfaction and ITIL processes were adhered to.I was a team leader for Fujitsu for five years, managing several different service desks. My main strengths lie in people development, coaching, customer service, and continuous improvement. I strive for excellence and lead by example. Across all positions I have held, in all companies, I have helped to manage and coach the progression of people seeing people who joined teams under my leadership, successfully move into 2nd and 3rd line engineer, project manager, and service delivery manager roles. I feel I have a real gift for facilitating individual and team development putting huge emphasis on both of these. Implementing LEAN, Sense and Respond and other continuous improvement methodologies is something which I excel at. I have championed many ideas across multiple employers and witnessed positive changes. In my current role, I have managed these from the ground up, working with a team that had never been exposed to the concept of continuous improvement. I have worked with them so that they understand what these ideas are and how they impact the business, but more importantly how they benefit the team. I have communicated these improvements to senior stakeholders, enjoying success in multiple disciplines.
