After a successful and diverse career in the maritime sector I decided it was time for a change. I believe that change is good even if it is scary.I’am now supporting one of New Zealand’s leading renewable energy generators to evolve their Health and Safety approach. Using the fundamentals of Human and Organisational Performance we have a 4 year strategy which is supporting and structuring this transformation.I’m an Influential leader with experience in response, operations, listening, learning, reporting, budgeting, project design and implementation and people management. I’am a strong supporter in career development and encourage teams to work together to produce great results. I work hard to create positive environments to allow people to succeed. Operational Experience:- Auditing experience in; offshore oil and gas, domestic commercial operators of all sizes and activities, life raft service stations and industry specific training programmes.- Warranted Inspector for 7 years under the Health and Safety at Work Act conducting health and safety inspections on NZ flagged ships and with in NZ port operations. Safety Function Manager for the National Maritime Incident Response Team (NMRT).- Experienced investigator, conducting investigations for coroner inquests, for prosecution and for safety learnings.Prior operational experience was at sea in numerous roles and industries all over the world.
