Utilized asteroidal collision and thermal models to create a computational pipeline (C and Python) to gain insight into the dynamical history of iron meteorites in the early Solar System. Developed a diffusion model (C and Python) to simulate the growth of metallic bands in iron meteorites and how that growth is affected by impacts between asteroids. Modeled the time evolution of asteroids and tracked their impact parameters (C) in order to develop a probabilistic history of impacts in the Asteroid Belt during the early Solar System.

Developed a model to predict when a customer will make their next deposit or withdrawal. Utilized recurrent neural networks (PyTorch) with large time-series datasets, 1 million individuals, to predict the time until a customer’s next transaction. Produced an internal tool with high precision and acceptable recall, via model evaluation

Participated in research investigating the different characteristics of currently discovered exoplanets. Looked at a statistical correlations between the largest and second largest massed planets in every multiplanet system. Using these correlations, I was able to compare experimental to simulation provided by colleagues at Princeton University and NAOJ. Using my own simulations I looked into what these correlations could mean for the planet formation process.

Participated in an effort to increase the resolution of microcalorimeters compared to conventional spectrometers. The device will be used by institutions such as NASA to analyze comet fragments to determine the composition. Developed a program to determine the compounds that were detected and graphed their location in the material. Created a thermal model to improve future iterations of the microcalorimeter.

Participated in three different research projects: studied the effects of increased phosphorus levels on the growth of phytoplankton (phosphorous biogeochemistry); studied the nutritional physiology of marine phytoplankton; and studied the cause of harmful algal blooms. I made media (sterile sea water for the plankton to grow in), extracted DNA from phytoplankton, and grew, collected, and flourometrically analyzed cultures.
