Hi, I'm Richard Picone, a Psychology major with a minor in Criminal Justice at Seton Hall University. Throughout my academic journey and involvement in various campus activities, I’ve developed a strong passion for higher education, particularly in the field of student affairs. I remember coming to Seton Hall as a freshman, my first semester I was unhappy (I was a commuter and only came for class and went home right after). My second semester I got involved as a Peer Advisor and it snowballed from there. I am now a Junior, and have been involved in other various areas like Orientation, the Student Activities Board, and most recently the Student Government Association. I owe a lot of my personal and professional growth/success to the many administrators within student affairs that have supported and believed in me each step of the way. It is because of the many administrators within student affairs that I truly found my home away from home at Seton Hall. As I plan to pursue a career in student affairs, I only hope that I can pay forward the great experience that I had to future students and leaders.
