I prepared three special lectures to provide a beginners' introduction to the Irish language, including sounds & pronunciation, basic grammar, and an introduction to the Gaelic Irish alphabet. These sessions were for a specialist audience who were engaging in coursework on the Gaelic Irish harp tradition which included musicology, history, language, archaeology, the handling of primary source materials, and performance with the Gaelic harp.

As a lecturer of core subjects, I have a unique and broad perspective encompassing all AFP students. As the Study Skills Lecturer, it is my responsibility to ensure that students attending the Access Foundation Programme are introduced to the following; individual learning styles; effective note-taking skills; improve their reading techniques; assignment planning; time management; exam preparation; grading systems; study techniques; reading exam questions; identifying reliable sources.… Show more As a lecturer of core subjects, I have a unique and broad perspective encompassing all AFP students. Students were assessed by in-class participation, attendance, and the production of a report.As a lecturer in Applied Writing, the primary learning outcomes include the continuous assessment and improvement of our students' academic writing skills; development of incisive critical analytical skills among all students by means of in-class discussion on set topics.As a lecturer in Research Skills, all students who complete this module have a broad understanding of the following: qualitative and quantitative research methodology; questionnaire design; how to access and use both historical and modern censuses; developing unique research questions; accessing and evaluating sources; familiarising with national repositories such as archives, libraries and museums; presentation of information; research ethics; intellectual copyright; e-resources; research project design and execution. Students are assessed through a mix of in-class presentations; participation; and a modular research project.As a lecturer in Introduction to Higher Education, I provide lectures on the following topics: food and health in university; time management; personality types; locus of control; career planning; conflict management; group dynamics; intelligence theory. Having heard about this historical episode during the completion on my MA at UCD, I knew it was too good of an opportunity to let it pass unmarked. I approached the Polish Embassy in Ireland about organising a public seminar to mark the 300th anniversary of Princess Maria Clementina Sobieska's rescue and escape by a group of Irish people and one French woman in April 1719. The French Embassy also assisted the organisation and funding of the event which took place on 30th April 2019. The seminar was attended by the President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins, the Ambassador of France in Ireland H.E. Mr Stéphane Crouzat, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Poland Dr Lukasz Chimiak. Working at several locations around Dublin, I give lectures on modules such as 'Applied Writing'​, 'Reading and Writing'​ and 'Communicative Competence'. Our students gain core skills which prepare them for academic writing, discussion, and general preparation for university life. Kenilworth have a wonderful and hard-working team who all contribute to the creation of an excellent and positive learning and working environment. The Group Tutor role was designed to help students maintain their attendance and performance through the duration of the course, to settle grievances between students themselves and various issues which may arise. I brought a total of 4 class groups through the Ordinary Leaving Cert with a very high pass-rate. I also was made ClassTutor for a group of foreign language students responsible for maintaining their attendance and discipline. I designed and delivered my own course Module 'Appreciation of Irish Culture' designed to help new arrivals to Ireland understand the history and culture of the island. I also taught Higher-Level Irish to mature students and Ordinary-Level Irish also to mature students.
