I am a senior analyst programmer with 30 years of industry experience.I started writing computer programs as a hobby with 8 bit machines like the BBC Micro while at school. I became a professional software developer after completing my degree in Mathematics at university and am now experienced on a variety of operating systems using a range of computer languages.I have taken products through the development life-cycle, performing analysis, specification, coding, testing, releasing and the provision of production support. I have a good working knowledge of multi-tasking operating systems and writing multi-threaded applications for Windows and Linux. I have developed solutions to integrate legacy applications with new systems. I am self-motivated and keen to learn and apply new technologies. I am an effective, disciplined worker who works well in a team and is keen to pass on skills to other team members.I continue to enjoy programming as hobby and am a great fan of the Raspberry Pi credit card sized computer.
