I began working in the financial services industry in 2007 where I traded stocks, bonds, and options on behalf of retail investors. In 2008 I began working as a Financial Planner for one of the big five banks, where I established my goals-based financial planning and wealth management strategies. I was in the advisory role for 5 years where I worked with clients and their families creating and implementing plans and portfolios to help them achieve their long-term financial goals. While in this role, I earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation through the Financial Planning Standards Council and I remain a member in good standing.In 2013, I had the rare chance to switch from the advisory side of the business to the manufacturing side, where I quickly worked my way up to the role of District Vice President at Manulife Investments. This role gave me an outstanding perspective on the business, in that I worked closely with Investment Advisors, Financial Planners, and Insurance Advisors at all major firms across Ontario and Manitoba. During this period of time, I earned the Certified Investment Manager (CIM) designation.In early 2016 I made the decision to return to the advisory side of the business with Manulife Securities Incorporated and Pinto Marques Wealth Management was formed.
