Whilst working for Prestec I was given the challenge to oversee some of their most prestigious waterproofing projects, most recently the Crossrail Farringdon Tunnel Lining Contract. This project provide tight programme deadlines, challenging detailing and coordination, to successfully complete the installation of 33,000m2 of PVC waterproofing lining to the tunnel structure. Works include maintaining safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures complying with HSE regulations, established and implemented work schedules and adjusted them to meet project deadlines. Conducting project monitoring to ensure quality construction and safety. Other projects included BBC Studios, Crossrail Acton, V&A Museum and Francis Crick Institute.

London Wood Pellets distributed biomass wood pellets for use in wood pellet boilers, stoves and animal bedding.London Wood Pellets Limited worked in partnership with First London Biomass with the recycling, manufacturing and distribution of biomass wood pellets at the London pellet production plant.The recovered woods are graded, separated and prepared for the required industry and end use.Grade A: “Clean” recycled wood – material produced from pallets and secondary manufacture etc and suitable for producing animal bedding and mulches.Grade B: Industrial feedstock grade – including grade A material plus construction and demolition waste, this is suitable for making panelboard.Grade C: Fuel grade – this is made from all of the above material plus thatfrom municipal collections and civic amenity sites and can be used for biomass fuel.The pellets where used to power the in-house Gasification unit providing power to self-sufficiently run the plant of grid.

Responsible for the day to day management and construction of a Gasification waste to energy plant producing 5 MW of electricity. Including day to day operations on the site in a safe and efficient manner, assist in the management and supervision of staff and contractors employed at the site, assist in the execution and planning of PPM, supervision of the SCADA control system and taking remedial actions when alarms are received, assist in project planning and supervision of plant upgrade and improvement works, assist in maintaining Health and Safety documentation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, Training Records.

These works where carried out on some of the UKs largest Infrastructure projects Heathrow T5 , Heathrow Express 1 & 2 and the Water Management Framework Contract Tubelines & Metronet.

Crosstone where the appointed contractor to tile the Boston University halls of residence in South Kensington. The project consisted of tiling 30 student rooms, 5 kitchens and multiple offices.

I completed an apprenticeship with Balfour Beatty in Civil Engineering, as a trainee engineer i provided assistance to engineers and senior technicians with infrastructure assessments, design calculations, earthworks modelling, drainage assessments and road design.
