Contracted to Okta Inc as a Global Security Operation Center (GSOC) analyst, I perform both physical security and risk analysis roles.•I research and assess a wide variety of open source intelligence (OSINT) including weather, crime, terrorism, and other threats in order to determine threat to Okta's sites, assets and personnel.I operate numerous security, access control, and surveillance programs including; Eagle Eye, Ava Aware, Everbridge, Verkada, Brivo Access, and Openpath. •I minimized alert fatigue by implementing automated tools such as Crisis24 and Everbridge to use data analytics to identify patterns and trends in security incidents, and establish protocols for prioritizing alerts based on the severity of the threat, resulting in reduced workloads and the proper allocation of resources.•I improved coordination by maintaining communication channels with other departments and stakeholders, conducting regular risk assessments, using real-time intelligence sources to monitor emerging threats, and establish clear response protocols for security incidents which improved OPSEC and PERSEC, as well as situational awareness and responses to security threats to company assets and physical sites.•Regularly engaged in OSINT collection using data visualization tools, multiple platforms, the development of relationships with information providers and sources, the validation of credible sources, and the establishment of open-source intelligence sharing.While using these programs I assist in the conducting of physical security audits, contact tracing reports, and camera audits to help contribute to the overall security of Okta's physical locations, reputation, and personal risk.

• Minimized confusion and misunderstandings by reaching out to team members to provide clear and concise instructions for tasks, improving communication and leading to better teamwork and productivity.• Liaised with the internship sponsor through face-to-face meetings and communication channels, providing briefings on work status and recommendations for how to proceed, allowing for a more efficient use of institutional resources.• Conducted a structured Futures Exercises on the long-term makeup of the United States Intelligence Community and its private-sector contemporaries, resulting in the production of a finished deliverable presented to ODNI principals• Engaged in open-source collection of relevant literature, publications, and assessments related to the intelligence community, the threat landscape, and possible counterfactuals/trajectories in the short-medium and long term.

•Monitored global AORs as a WATCH officer by utilizing specialized OSINT tools and software to track events in real-time, including the observation of open-source platforms, satellite imagery analysis, and other relevant technologies, allowing for improved collection capabilities and insights into global events and trends.•Formulated and utilized structured analytic techniques, red-team plans and scenarios to include a clear set of objectives and simulated threats, along with identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities to enhance preparedness and readiness levels and better understand potential vulnerabilities•Geo-located a range of sites and persons-of-interest using Google Earth, SPIDERFOOT, Street Map, Flight Radar 24, satellite imagery and social media to cross-reference location information, providing accurate and reliable GEOINT, which supported a range of investigations.•Maintained OPSEC protocol by maintaining chains-of-command and delegating duties as necessary, in addition to collaborating with relevant Team Leads to produce finished intelligence products, Threat Activity Reports and Assessments

•I supported institute faculty on individual research agendas concerning a variety of subjects and topics, in addition to performing data entry, cross-discipline analysis, and assorted administrative tasks. I collected and synthesized information through open-source collection on issues pertaining to global data governance, terrorism, and transnational threats, while working in tandem with faculty to provide quantitative and qualitative assessments of topics, events and relevant trends. To this end I performed data entry, cross-discipline analysis, and assorted administrative tasks via Microsoft Excel, and collaborated remotely with colleagues via Zoom to finalize data inputs and structure qualitative arguments. •Additionally I identified collection gaps and reoriented collection methods and tactics to remedy them, while evaluating and synthesizing research via databases, public forums, institutions, media reports and other open sources.

•I aided in preserving artifacts in need of chemical treatment and reconstruction. This included pottery shards, galleon anchors, and coinage. As a result, I was able to preserve radically deteriorating artifacts and make them suitable for public presentation.

•Conducted research on topics related to both domestic and foreign policy, resulting in the production and dissemination of finished deliverables that remedied gaps in subject area expertise.•Performed fieldwork staffing the Committee on Arrangements by addressing structural and organizational issues related to the planning of a national convention.•Attended and ran events, seminars, conferences and working groups to facilitate the exchange of ideas and collect relevant data from the field, allowing for a qualitative and quantitatively driven approach.•Scheduled regular check-ins with supervisors to discuss goals and progress in order to minimize confusion and stagnation, improving communication channels and a better understanding of KPIs.•Identified areas for personal and professional growth by seeking out additional projects or responsibilities to expand skillsets and knowledge, allowing for increased learning and professional development.

•I worked in the lab preserving, recording and reconstructing artifacts recovered from the lake bed, many of which came from historic shipwrecks, such as Benedict Arnold's flagship the Philadelphia, sunk at Valcour Bay in 1776. Duties included chemical treatment of flintlocks, cannonballs, and assorted iron fragments, as well as the meticulous recording and interpretation of the archaeological record.

•As a general researcher, I helped coordinate the researching and subsequent lobbying of issues relevant to the LWV and their constituents, including education standards, voter registration, and redistricting. Pursuant to these ends, our research enabled the construction of political platforms and formed the basis of our lobbying efforts at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
