For more than two decades, GR Investment Group has owned, operated and sold a plethora of businesses. IEC focuses on all things Electrical and Electronic. IEC was founded in 1906 and has Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. ECC Corp acted as the Secretariat to the USNC IECQ. In April 2016 McDermott was appointed as Interim Chairman of USNC IECQ. In January 2017 he became Chairman.In September 2015 IECQ developed and published the ECC Corp Component Specification: IECQ CS 033000-UK0001. Bytec was a innovative designer and manufacture of a variety of electro-mechanical components mostly for the automotive industry. The business produced a variety of solenoid actuated devices that include clutches for sliding doors and trucks and interlock switches. In the recent past Bytec manufactured a line of mechanical and pneumatic lumbar supports of car and aircraft seating and laser welded unitized center bearings for passenger car/light truck drive shafts. Bytec had outstanding engineering and information systems well suited to complex light assembly. These systems allowed Bytec to "Punch above its weight" in a very competitive business. In early 2016 Bytec ceased operations after the loss of Key Management personnel to competitors.

Many of those companies acted as Alpha sites and then Beta sites for all new technology that Plexus developed. The other Co-owner in Plexus Rob Beatty and I strategized on a weekly basis how to roll out this new technology.
