Having over a decade of experience in construction and the trades, I’ve found a home at Jefferson Millwork & Design as Casework Production Manager. My cabinetmaking career at JMD began in 2015 when I was brought on as a temporary laborer to help sand the edges of some wall panels. Recognizing my work ethic, management quickly moved to hire me permanently, and since then I have taken every opportunity to build upon my cabinetmaking skills. Through the Woodwork Career Alliance apprenticeship program, I have graduated to the penultimate credentialing status, Gold, as the first industry partner in the history of the program to do so. In 2021, in recognition of my experience, work ethic, and temperament, I was offered my current position as Casework Manager, which I gladly accepted. In this position I have gained a deeper understanding of the drafting and design process, and even made improvements through our design software to streamline the production process. Even with a limited crew, my changes have allowed us to meet and surpass our client’s quality and deadline expectations.
