As Head of Screen Culture I was responsible for the development and delivery of a screen cultural policy for the State of Qld. This included the administration of a state wide grants program and for the organisation and delivery of various festivals including Cine Sparks ( for young audiences ) and the two week Brisbane international Film Festival. In addition the role was responsible for the delivery of the Queensland state film awards. Following a hiatus of 18 months my role was to oversee a new vision for the annual festival - including Financial, Logistics, Sponsor relations, Venue relationships, Marketing ,Publicity , HR, oversight of ticketing systems and Strategic Planning. The role involved redefining the festival BRAND : the festival was repositioned and relaunched into the market with new venues , staff , ticketing system , and new energy.

The position was responsible the editorial and practical delivery of arts TV on the ABC's national TV platform . Over 4 years I was responsible for delivering approximately $18,000,000 worth of TV - ranging from talk shows , to magazine programs , performance specials , and a host of documentaries. The role involved leading and motivating Melbourne based core staff and a team of reporters/ producers around the country. The role acted as the public face of Arts ABC TV and involved representing the organisation to the public and media. In this capacity it also entailed consultation with a wide variety of organisations and interest groups and a close relationship with the ABC Arts Advisory Board. In addition the position entailed providing recommendations for acquisitions, the commissioning of new and original programming and supervising , together with a Business Manager , the budgetary aspects of the production units and individual productions.
