The stations have a combined throughput of in excess of 4.5 million customers per annum, a figure that is increasing year on year.5 of these stations include Sales Offices which require me to be conversant with Cash Regulations, Ticketing and their associated restrictions whilst also being able to carry out both financial and regulatory audits.Being in charge of these stations also involves Health & Safety checks/audits, including regular PGIs, H&S Walks and also overseeing any construction or improvement works being carried out. This also includes accident and incident investigations which, for a restricted industry such as the railway, have to be carried out to very high standard.Another important factor of this role is to to plan, implement and take charge of major events that may be held within my local area, the largest annual event for example, is Cheltenham Gold Cup Races which sees in the region of 60,000 customers travel through Cheltenmham Spa Station (a 2 platform station) over the 4 days of the event. A particular area of the role which I find both the most challenging but also the most gratifying. Show less
