I would typically write 4,000-8,000 words a week. I also conducted intensive country supplements that focused on the capital markets development of the region's major economies and required a great deal of economic and political understanding. Additionally, I was tasked with editing additional information that was supplied for the supplements by freelance members of staff. I worked as Asia Editor of EuroWeek until June 2004, when I was approached by Asiamoney magazine to become an associate editor.

I had to break five to eight stories a week, writing articles on news that had not been reported anywhere else. I worked for 19 months on that title, during which I was promoted to a full reporter. In April 2000 I accepted an approach by EuroWeek magazine to become Asia Editor in Hong Kong.
