Provide awareness and information on the current status and health of all fixed equipment for all Bath Iron Works Facilities. Assist in commissioning new equipment purchased through our capital project department. Create job plans and preventative maintenance strategies for new equipment. Revise current maintenance strategies for existing machinery to increase reliability and efficiency. Gather information and create critical spares lists. Troubleshoot and provide solutions to underlying mechanical issues to reoccurring problems. Provide guidance and support to chief planners, section managers, and front line supervisors. Create procedures to ensure proper documentation of work is recorded. Serve as a liaison to 3rd party vendors who may be providing engineering and maintenance support. Generate work orders to correct identified issues and track their progress.

Maintenance planner of 4 offsite facilities. Organize all preventative maintenance and management of acute operational problems. Provide leadership and cohesive problem-solving solutions to a wide variety of team members. Acts a liaison for the maintenance department in a Safety Action Team to provide ongoing process improvement. Responsibilities include prioritizing assignments, planning trade work, procurement of materials for work orders, scheduling trade work, maintaining a proper back log for each trade, development of weekly performance, continued planning process efficiency, organizing with vendors to complete complex tasks, and coordinating with management, administration, and other engineering departments.

1st Engineer is in charge of a night watch. Oversee preventative maintenance on various equipment. The drill ship is equipped with 6 Himsen Diesel Generators and 6 Rolls Royce Thrusters. Heavily involved in all preventative/corrective maintenance on the Generators from monthly safety control checks to 20,000 hr overhauls. Played an integral role in thruster maintenance both corrective and preventative. This ranged from seal flushing to 1 year maintenance. Manage a team to conduct all maintenance and assist where needed. Primarily involved in troubleshooting issues. Experience with other equipment such as A/C compressors and air handlers, elevators, various types of pumps, purifiers, lifeboats, and davits.

Involved in scheduled maintenance done on our four Rolls Royce Diesel Electric Engines and six Rolls Royce Thrusters. The maintenance includes, but is not limited to injector change outs and rebuild, hp fuel pipe change outs, HP and LP cooling pump rebuilds and change outs, and preventative maintenance on the thrusters every month, three month, 6 month, and annual.
