Dual role responsibilities at both Freedom Mortgage and the subsidiary Roundpoint. Development and oversight of operational risk analysis, QA and controls and mitigation efforts within Retail channel. Develop loan audits that assess key origination risk areas or targeted risk areas. Oversee and analyze quality data from audits as well as investor feedback and develop meaningful executive level reporting. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions in mitigation efforts. Led channel Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA). Primary responder on state exams and audits.

Management of mortgage loan operations within an 11 state footprint. Responsibility over fulfillment site which includes Processors, Underwriters and Closers. Additionally, responsible for growth and management of renovation lending team (203k & Homestyle) which was tasked with fulfillment in Midwest, South and Western states.

Responsible for direct negotiations with clients in group and forecast settlements. Maintains responsibility to analyze and interpret data in loss severities and mitigate risk by assessing total exposure. Develop strategies and settlement structures for resolution on outstanding loss exposures. Tasked with reviewing Correspondent contracts and work closely with Contract Finance Group to identify enforceability and possible paths to recourse. Works in cooperation with partners in Credit Risk, Servicing Default and Sales Executives to determine best options for resolutions.

Forensic underwriter and counterparty risk professional responsible for responding to GSE, private investor and Mortgage Insurance reps and warrant breaches requiring repurchase. Prepared arguments, including re-underwriting files, for Agency and MI impasse discussions maintaining a high win rate. Worked closely with outside counterparties in working towards cure and where necessary in fullfilling recourse. Maintains expertise in all aspects of consumer lending including credit analysis, income and liability calculation, collateral analysis, current and historic agency guidelines, compliance, and fraud identification and investigation.

Operated high performing affiliate branch of loan originators. Implemented Lending Tree marketing network and proactively acted as administrator through its company wide implementation. Top 5 branch out of over 54 nationwide affiliate branches with US Mortgage. US Mortgage branches were acquired by Residential Home Funding after the US Mortgage shutdown.

Led the Cleveland operations and sales origination staff of 20 + licensed professionals and support staff offering residential and small commercial products to consumers in Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Minnesota and Pennsylvania. Successfully opened second office in Pittsburgh. Licensed Operations Manager responsible for day to day functions including training, hiring and establishing wholesale investor relationships. Achieved the highly sought after Certified Mortgage Consultant (CMC) designation through NAMB. Voted to OAMB Board of Governors, nominated for NAMB board and participated in National Association exam writing workshops in NY as a local SME/Subject Matter Expert. Skilled in P&L management.

Participated in start up and grew branch from 3 employees to 14 producing originators as well as support staff. Increased revenues by over 60% year-over-year. My participation included traveling to investor locations to conduct pre-purchase due diligence and collateral review at site visits.
