As the director of software engineering at Avanade I am responsible for all internal mobile applications used to provide our employees with the applications they need to access Avanade services.

As Director of Information Systems my job responsibilities include:- Devising Infusion's overall IT framework. - Working with the Executive Team to ensure technology supports the direction of the company.- Constantly re-evaluating our existing systems and proactively suggesting improvements.- Driving process improvement through the effective use of technology.- Produce detailed timelines for new system roll outs and the longer term technology road map.- Cultivating a positive working environment and building a world class delivery team.- Ownership of implementation and effective project control by monitoring and reporting progress to the business

Weekly Tasks• Regional portfolio review & escalations with local PMs, PCs, RMs, and AMs• Global portfolio review with PMO mgmt, VP of delivery, head of RMs and PCs• PM timesheet approval• P&L: revenue & capacity projections• Sales pipeline review with regional Sales Mgr + RMs• PMO Touchpoint with the PM team• One-on-Ones with each PM• One-on-One with PMO Management• Manage / assign / oversee contract approvalsOngoing Initiatives• Grow / mentor / coach PMs• Project audits and quality control• Handle project escalations: deep dive as needed and take over if necessary• Project assignments to PMs, monitoring workload and capacity• performance reviews and career development for PMs• Hiring / firing, internal recruits• Any other process improvements via collaboration with regional staff• Continuity planning - vacation & time off management, identifying backups / replacement• Assisting with local pre-sales activity and scoping on larger accounts

My responsibilities included:- Management of some of our largest most challenging projects.- Oversight of our junior project managers and their portfolio of projects.- Reporting of our portfolio of projects to our PMO and executive team.
