Richard is a member of the West Coast Eagles Executive Leadership team. The Eagles are one of Australia's most successful elite professional sporting organisations. The Club currently has over 100,000 financial members and over 500,000 supporters.He has a multifaceted portfolio which includes the Club's community and educational programs which deliver over 100,000 engagements (annually) across metropolitan, regional and remote Western Australia. He is also responsible for the Club’s Game Development strategy which includes the Club’s AFLW team, high performance football Academies (male and female), wheelchair football team and community football pathways.He has worked globally in the fields of community, public relations, crisis management, government relations and communications for over 25 years and has had the opportunity to develop skills and experiences while delivering outcomes for Australia's leading Companies - BHP, Telstra and Western Power.He is an experienced leader of people with the business acumen to deliver planned results consistently. Richard is passionate in supporting his people to understand the opportunities before them and work collaboratively to deliver outstanding performance.He understands what it takes to build trust among internal and external stakeholders – reliable judgement, action orientation, integrity and doing what you say you will do.He has a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Secondary Education. He has also undertaken Social Impact Assessment Training through the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Community Development Training in India with Oxfam and Executive Leadership education through London Business School.
