Responsible for managing a direct and dealer / agent sales territory that covered twenty states. Provided training for new dealer agents, direct sales staff and underwriters in our program. Assisted customers and dealers with physical damage and floor plan claims.

BMI, formerly Leaseway Bulk Group, was the largest bulk carrier in the United States with more than 1800 owned and contracted power units and revenues of $215 million. They were in Chapter 11 at the time. They had millions of dollars in open claims with Reliance Insurance Company that were preventing them from exiting Chapter 11 and an on-going insurance program with National Union that had $500,000 per line self insured retentions (AL/GL/WC). I directed the claims handling within all lines of the SIR and in nine months successfully negotiated a settlement to the Reliance claims which allowed them to exit bankruptcy. On my one-year anniversary with BMI my position and my Risk Management staff were outsourced to Aon and I kept the BMI position and added Aon sales responsibility for the next three years. In December of 1996, BMI declared bankruptcy again and my job was terminated when Aon lost their contract.
