I’m a Certified Risk Professional (CISSP / CRISC) with 20+ years financial services experience from both Front and Back Office positions.This has given me an in-depth understanding of both Operations and IT processes across multiple Asset Classes within the Operational Risk and Control landscape.I am passionate about the Control aspect of Risk Management, because the benefits of an effective control environment tangibly increase the stability of the IT landscape. My Engineering background has equipped me with the logical problem solvers mindset to help advise on control improvements and efficiencies and compliments the Regulation and Audit work I perform.I also enjoy my current role because it allows me to utilise many aspects of my knowledge across all of the Operational Risk Domains not just IT. This has been particularly useful in Divisional Risk and Control Assessments and both Regulatory and External Audits.A key achievement within this role was setting up the Regulatory Adherence Framework (RAF) for the Governance of all new regulation relevant to Technology and chairing the RAF Committee responsible for the communication, assessment and mitigation relating to IT relevant regulation.As a continuous learner, I have accrued skills in Project Management, Technology and Business Continuity with accompanying certifications which further compliment the Operational Risk discipline.
