My role involves managing a wide range of separate services and provision all of which come under the banner of Student Services. These include Admissions, Student Funding, Student Support (Transitions, Counselling, Guidance, Careers, Employability Centre ) Additional Support (Personal Learning Plans, Assistive Technology, Needs Assessment etc) Student Union, the College Reception Team, College Nursery, Spiritual Care Team and in case I get bored I am also the Safegaurding Coordinator for the College.

I undertook the task of developing an Essentials Skills Framework across the curriculum. At the same time I developed and delivered a commercially successful program of Soft Skills training to local industry.My role involved developing creative and innovative projects and ideas to develop employability and generating income and project money to sustain. Ideas included developing qualifications and cpd for volunteers working for charities etc. inter generational learning opportunities and experiential learning themes. I also managed a range of ESF projects mainly related to employment and employability skills development.

Leading a service and Team that delivered Careers Guidance and Employability Services to Undergradaute and Post Graduate Students at Univeristy. I also deputised as Head of Student Services. Determined to try and embed employability within the higher education curriculum I was involved in developing e-portfolios around personal development planning. Being one of a range of partners funded through a transformational change project. Our experiences were presented in a paper at Oxford University.
