Core Duties:Project Manager responsible for project oversight and delivery of high quality Fire industry training outputs.Key Achievements:• Re-invigoration of the programme and realignment with TFS strategic objectives. • Management of a two Emergency Volunteer Fund financed projects within the programme.• Management of three project teams and programme budgets• Navigating the programme through a TFS internal review ensuring it remains relevant with organisational objectives, contemporary teaching practices and RTO compliance• Deliver a state-wide solution to first aid skills acquisition and maintenance for TFS career firefighters.• Undertook the role of Regional Fire Controller and Situation Officer in the Southern Regional Operations Centre for the 2019/2020 fire season

Core Duties:Planning coordination and delivery of fire industry training to career and volunteer staff. Management of Operational Training Career Staff, Volunteer Training Instructor cohort and daily running of the TFS Cambridge Training complex and associated assets and regional budget.Key Achievements:• Managed Cambridge Complex and associated assets to enable effective its function as an Incident Control Centre (ICC) over the protracted and challenging 2018/2019 fire season.• Undertook multiple roles in Incident Management including level 3 Operations Officer, Public Information, Level 2 Incident Controller, Regional Fire Operations Centre and Interstate Task Force Liaison.• Introduced innovative delivery models for volunteer level 1 courses resulting in an 18% increase in course delivery capacity. • Planned and delivered an Operational Training internal review and restructure to enable realisation of business area priorities. Engineered a solution for design and delivery of career firefighter leadership programs.• Developed and implemented a statewide Training Instructor (volunteer) performance review and quality assurance framework.• Staffing and oversight of the 1/2019 Trainee Firefighter Development Program and mentoring for the Manager.• Collaboration with other National fire agencies with a view to achieving transportability of skills levels across borders.• Built and fostered relationships with other partner agencies enabling resource sharing and collaboration with training programs

Core Duties:When not managing TFDP over this period primary duties were planning, coordination and support of the career firefighter development programs.Key Achievements:• Volunteer and Career Firefighter development pathway curriculum design and delivery• Developed and delivered comprehensive holistic assessment packages that guarantees state-wide consistency in TFS Career Firefighter capability.• Strengthened TFS Urban Fire Suppression Capability through collaboration with Fire Rescue NSW enabling statewide delivery of the capability to career and volunteer firefighters.

Core Duties:Planning coordination and delivery of the 2016 and 2017 Trainee Firefighter Development Programs (TFDP). In addition project managed the TFDP Enhancement Project.Key Achievements:• Lead the TFDP enhancement project to deliver a contemporary off-the-shelf industry leading TFDP that delivers highly capable ‘Truck Ready’ firefighters to TFS operations.• Introduced innovations such as a trainee communications platform, trainee feedback system, program continuous improvement model, a focus on contemporary adult learning principles and an Instructor development strategy.• Lead consecutive instructor teams in 2016 and 2017 to deliver 21 firefighters to TFS Operations.• Enabled collaboration and inclusion of SES specialists to jointly deliver specialist Road Crash Rescue training to TFS Trainees.

Core Duties:Lead a National Disaster Resilience funded project to develop a framework for State Government departments enabling them to exercise capability. Assist the Principle Staff Officer in developing TFS doctrine.Key Achievements:• Gained an insight into TFS executive management practices and State Government Emergency Management arrangements.• Produced a product that enables a collective approach statewide to exercise conceptualisation, planning, conduct, evaluation and reporting. This product has been adopted internationally and was recognised in the 2016 Australian Institute for Disaster Resilience Awards with a State Highly Commended Award. • Developed skills in consultation and collaboration that enabled the building of TFS Doctrine.
