During summer 2023 I worked for 2 days a week for Mainer Associates in order to gain practical work experience in the sustainability sector whilst on my summer break from my Masters course. During this time I learned about conducting BREEAM, NABERs and FitWel assessments, how companies such as Mainer fit into the construction and sustainability sectors, and what it takes to analyse the materials used in building construction to reduce carbon emissions across the lifecycle of a building.I also worked with the operations team to improve their communications, particularly around their newsletter, social media, and the website, including writing case studies for recently completed projects and providing a template for how to maximise their clarity going forward.
