A professional property investment consultant and former Head of Property with over 35 years’ experience in all aspects of UK and European real estate, Richard Pardoe, 64, has worked for many years at the top of the UK property fund management and investment business. He was Head of Property at The Scottish Life Assurance Company and subsequently at The Royal London Mutual Insurance Society where he was responsible for funds under management totalling c£2.5 billion. Richard has recently represented an Italian student accommodation company in the UK and is active in this sector across Europe. Currently he is involved in logistics funding projects in Italy and Spain and several social infrastructure projects in various European countries. He represents institutions and family offices in acquiring high quality assets across EuropeHe has been responsible for property portfolios through good times and bad, acquiring and disposing of assets to take advantage of cyclical markets and has developed high quality asset management skills both at individual asset and portfolio levels. Richard formed a property investment consultancy business, Pardoe Properties Ltd in 2004. He advises clients including UK financial institutions together with US and German financial institutions, family estates, property companies, developers and syndicated groups of high net worth individuals. His markets include the UK, Germany and Italy.Richard has had extensive experience in development funding work, as principal and advising institutional clients. He has extensive experience of reporting directly to the Boards of large organisations and has sat on the Boards of several smaller companies. Richard is attuned to corporate governance issues and has recently been a non-executive director for a property development company.His wide network of contacts in London and across Europe, together with his experience of property and strategy make him eminently suitable for further NED roles in both the property industry and in a wider field.
