A Cheltenham Festival and Listed Flat winning trainer with over 20 years’ experience of training racehorses to the highest level, both over jumps and on the Flat. Richard Phillips Racing is a professional racehorse training yard based in the beautiful village of Adlestrop in the Cotswolds.With around 30 horses in training, mainly jumpers but also some flat horses, Adlestrop Stables has wonderful facilities and provides a bespoke experience for horses and owners.Richard is known for his charismatic character and owners and staff at Adlestrop can be sure of a fun but professional experience.Racehorse welfare is at the heart of what we do and our horses are looked after to the highest level with each horse’s individual training requirements met.Richard is a Trustee of Heros Charity. Based near Wantage, Heros rehabilitates racehorses to riding horses and ensure they find excellent homes once their racing careers are over.Richard and team pride ourselves on our unique, friendly and fun atmosphere at Adlestrop Stables.The yard reached reached the final once again in 2020 in the Lycetts Team Champion Award, achieving three stars and gold accreditation. The award is for racing yards that provide a professional, safe place of work, that is inclusive and rewards staff and well as encourages learning and career progression.We also received two special awards this year – ‘Diversity’ and ‘Leadership’ proving that Richard Phillips Racing is a great place to work.In 2021, the team are delighted to have four members reach the shortlist and three the final in the Godolphin Stud and Stable Stable Staff Awards - the first time any yard has done so.
