This included aiding both the new forecasting tool development and development of the existing MRP system, constructing user acceptance testing and user training.Key Successes- Implemented improvements to the forecasting and inventory departments new product introduction process through using the six sigma methodology which has resulted in time savings of 52 hours per month equating to a 59% reduction in the overall process time.- Developing and testing the new forecasting tool and making the tool ready to go live within 3 months which was the agreed deadline for the implementation project.- Producing training documentation and SOP's for the new forecasting tool.

Responsibilities- Producing stable and accurate forecasts to ensure part supply in line with individual customer requirements- Preparing, analysing and justifying forecast changes and variances in line with the forecasting planning cycle in order to load new forecasts each month in line with set milestones.- Improving forecast accuracy and stability through cross-functional activities in order to identify and understand changing customer requirements and market trends.- Calculating safety stock in line with required customer service levels.- Actively involved in developing new safety stock calculation methods to improve the utilisation of resources while still maintaining required customer service levels.Key Successes- Developed an improved forecasting process for Pattonair's largest customer utilising the customers forward looking repair plan where only historic demand data had been previously in order to apply forward looking market intelligence to the forecast. The change in methodology was implemented in June-14 and this change in forecasting was a contributing factor to the account achieving 100% OTIF for the first time in the accounts history.- Developed an improved safety stock calculation methodology which has resulted in an inventory reduction of over £6M within the first year of implementation.- Within 1 month of starting at the company, developed a forecasting algorithm for parts with intermittent and lumpy demand profiles which replaced a previously manual forecast process. Resulted in time savings of 30 hours per month.
