Houston Rapid Transit Joint Venture Houston, Texas –Sr. Project Manager responsible for design of Adaptive Priority Traffic Signal Systems, GPS –based Positive Train Controls (PTC), Voice Radio Systems, and On-board systems equipment for three new light rail system corridors consisting of 14 miles of track and 92 signalized intersections. Responsibilities include negotiation of scope and fee for subcontracts; management of subcontractors, costs, schedules, and quality, as well as hands on planning and design.METRO HOT Lanes, Houston, Texas –Proposal ManagerTeamed with an independent tolling technology company and developed the Intelligent Transportation Systems proposal including preliminary design for 100+ miles of reverse-lane High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes to be converted to High Occupancy Toll (HOT) lanes. Regional Computerized Traffic Signal System (RCTSS); Houston, Texas -Provided evaluation, testing, configuration, deployment and integration support for intersections using CDPD communications and fiber optic communications. Provided systems engineering, configuration and integration for the RCTSS central computer equipment having a capacity of 3000 intersections. Harris County Metropolitan Transit Authority HOV Lane Modernization Program; Houston, Texas - Project Manager and Field Support Engineer for the integration of an automated control system for gates, signals, and signs at HOV lane entry and exit ramps. Caltrans District 4 Ramp Metering System; Oakland, California - Project Manager for the integration of 175 ramp metering stations into the District 4 Freeway Operations Center using spread spectrum radio communications. Project included a feasibility study for using CDPD communications on future installations.
