Managing health & safety and food hygiene functions within the Commercial Division includes environmental protection and public entertainments licensing. Key responsibilities included: • Reorganisation and improvement of divisional procedures, as specified by the Local Authority Audit Commission.• Managed enforcement and provided direction, advice for large international producers of meat & fish products to meet EU / international approval.• Management of contracted out services and health and safety courses.• Representation on the regional “Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire Occupational Health & Safety Group”.
