This included the expansion of both mining, crushing and processing facilities at El Castillo and the expansion of mining and crushing facilities at La Colorada, as well as the construction of leach pads at both operations.Rationalized operating plans at both mines in late 2014 that eliminated high production increments, resulting in profitable operation during low metal prices in 2015.Oversaw optimization of mine designs and life-of-mine operating plans at varying gold prices, including crushing and plant modifications, process modifications, operating cost reduction initiatives and design & implementation of in-pit dumps and other haulage distance reduction programs.Successfully oversaw improvements to the Safety Programs at both operations resulting in a 51% reduction from the 2013 Argonaut Gold Inc. incident rate.
