As a member of the CAD Engineering team, I played a significant role in developing the Lincoln Corsair Program (MY2020). I focused on the Liftgate system design, where I helped create and simulate mathematical models (3D CAD) and develop liftgate swing study analysis methods. I also served as the primary liaison between the Application Engineering team in the USA and the FORD South America support team. Thanks to our collective efforts, we achieved significant cost savings. This included a reduction of $300K in the stamping die set, resulting in a cost reduction of $8.00 per unit. Overall, we saved $1.2 million per year of production. Additionally, we optimized our processes by reducing the use of soft tooling and increasing efficiency, which had a $0.6 million impact on prototype parts.
