With over 10 years of experience in the Research and Development sector in the Automotive and Technology segment, I am a Lead Studio Engineer at Ford Motor Company, where I co-develop the design of the new generation of vehicles for the North American market, such as the Bronco and Lincoln Products. I focused on the Liftgate system design, where I helped create and simulate mathematical models (3D CAD) and develop liftgate swing study analysis methods. I also served as the primary liaison between the Application Engineering team in the USA and the FORD South America support team. Thanks to our collective efforts, we achieved significant cost savings. This included a reduction of $300K in the stamping die set, resulting in a cost reduction of $8.00 per unit. Overall, we saved $1.2 million per year of production. Additionally, we optimized our processes by reducing the use of soft tooling and increasing efficiency, which had a $0.6 million impact on prototype parts.
