After graduating from Mobile Dynamics in Richmond Hills, Ontario, Richard has spent 29 years’ gaining experience in the electronics field. Richard spent 2 years working for Rockford Fosgate as a Custom Car Audio Installer; designing, and building their traveling show vehicles in Charleston, South Carolina. After moving back to Kansas City, Richard joined & completed the IBEW 124 apprenticeship program while working for Progressive Electronics for 5 years. In 2004 Richard joined SimplexGrinnell as a service/construction technician for 11 years working on fire alarm systems of all sizes, including large network systems at KU, Maryville, JCCC, St Luke’s Hospital. In an attempt to move from the field to an office position, Richard briefly worked for several local electronics companies, Bart’s Electric (project manager), Kenton Brothers (technician), Facility Solutions Group (project manager) before joining Envision Technology Group. Richard has been with Envision Technology Group since 2018, serving as a project manager. In January 2020 Richard was promoted to Life Safety Division Manager. Over his career he has gotten certified on 32 different systems and achieved NICET Level III.
