Rick has been practicing mediation and conflict resolution since 1977. He is a principal and Program Director of The Pittsburgh Mediation Group. An experienced neutral, Rick was first trained as a mediator by the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service in 1977. In addition to workplace and employment mediation, Rick's private mediation practice includes: family law, estate, probate & elder law mediation. Rick is an approved panel member and mediator for: the US Federal District Court, Western District of PA; the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; the US Postal Service.Rick is a pioneer in the mediation field, helping create CDR Associates, in Boulder, CO in 1977. He is a Certified Elder Law Mediator, and has Advanced Training Certification from The Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation. Over years of practice, Rick presented workshops for the PA Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Training Institute. He is a Member of the Board of Directors for the Mediation Council of Western PA; a Steering Committee Member for The Kaplan Lecture; was a member of the ADR and Elder Law Committees of the Allegheny County Bar Association; the American Bar Association; the Association for Conflict Resolution; and Mediators Beyond Borders.
