I am an FCA (Fellow of ICAEW) who has spent 20 years working at board level with a range of different sized companies, both Listed and Private, all involving international operations, in the Financial Services industry. My expertise has been developed in Finance, whilst also taking on other wider responsibilities at different times. My roles have involved working with senior management at a strategic and operational level. My career has involved extensive corporate activity - a full IPO process, due diligence on acquisitions and disposals, trade sales (nearly 20), bank syndicate compliance and refinancing, corporate restructurings, pre-pack receivership, and asset sales.My Financial Services experience has predominantly involved working with equity products. My work here has included working in Finance directly with equities market-making, sales and research, corporate finance and investment banking; long-only and hedge fund asset management, and private equity. Work within asset management involved working with independent Cayman (CIMA) and Dublin (UCITS) boards of directors and being the main presenter of financial information to their Audit Committee. I also have experience of working with a major independent insurance broker.A key feature of my career has been one of change management within the Finance function which has involved working with overseas offices'​ finance functions in Asia, Australia, Europe and America, as well as the UK.I have had responsibility for, and been the key point of contact with the FSA/FCA for, financial compliance in all my roles.Following the sale of NewSmith to Man Group plc in 2015 I decided to take a sabbatical to pursue a number of personal interests and projects. I have now largely completed these projects and have a renewed commitment and enthusiasm to return to the work environment.I am now seeking to build a portfolio of advisory, consultancy and non-executive roles applying my experience to add value to businesses.
