Project managing ICT infrastructure design and delivery on School building and refurbishment programs across England and Wales.

Managing the support of core ICT systems to 9 schools in the partnership including virtualisation of Windows servers, SAN storage systems, Capita SIMS platforms, wired and wireless network infrastructures, managed print solutions, broadband services and RM CC4 management systems. Additionally working on transformation projects which range from small scale upgrades, through transitions to new modern systems and up to the specification and commissioning of the ICT infrastructures for 2 new school building programs.Budgetary responsibility for £0.5M+ annual spend on ICT services, subscriptions, external third party provided services and hardware and software maintenance.

Babcock took over VT Group in September 2010.Since then I have delivered one completed Secondary school in Lewisham in 2010 and have completed 6 others in the 2012 summer and two primary schools in the same period. Also implemented Microsoft Windows 7 refresh project for 500 strong Babcock 4S business unit including new hardware, apps, email system and data migration. This was completed on time over the winter of 2011 and is already delivering significant cost savings in use and reduced downtime so improving productivity.As of May 2013, I am project managing major refresh of core services to 3 schools covering Cloud services, email, data storage, Unified Communications, WLAN and LAN upgrades, user authentication and hardware refresh.

Activities include:-1. ICT Infrastructure Design Lead on BSP program Design Teams for Stage1, Stage 2 and Construction phases. 2. Planning of ICT Implementation works including manpower assignements3. Preparation and submission of formal design materials including Power and Carbon footprint calculations, ICT Infrastructure plant placement and network wiring schedules.4. Management of all pre-operations ICT deliverables for each school in the program.5. Liason between ICT Services Management and LEP, Architects, Construction and M&E Consultants.6. Regular meetings with ICT Supply Chain partners.7. Establish and manage PMO for BSF program

Implementation of variuos business ICT improvement projects where new or upgraded systems have been deployed to add new services, improve existing services or transition from one to another. Examples are:-1. Implementation of MAGIC as ICT Service desk management tool2. Implement LANDESK as management tool to remotely administer school network servers3. Managed transition of 418 Surrey County Council education establishments to one unified broadband supplier connection to South East Grid for Learning (SEGfL).4.Specify, source and apply enhancements to existing system used to manage HLTA assessments. Also developed management reporting tools.5. Planned and implemented various ICT improvement programs including desktop refreshes and operating system upgrades.

Establish nationwide consultancy and technical solution delivery team for Microsoft operating systems and back office servers. Developed and expanded team to meet customer demand as well as exceed break even P&L targets for 4 consecutive years.Regular attendee at Microsoft TecEd Europe as well as delivering technical sessions in 1999.
