Laundry Insight is a unique,specialist Consultancy established in July 2013 offering independent audit, analysis and advice to organisations purchasing Commercial Linen and Workwear Laundry Services - drawing on an extensive range of practical experience gained at a senior level with the industry`s key players and from managing large scale service contracts supplied to organisations in all market sectors.

• Responsible as Commercial Director for all aspects of development and ongoing management of National Workwear and Linen Contracts serviced by an association of 12 independent Regional Laundries. Managed significant transition and growth of the organisation with turnover increasing during the period 2002 - 2013 from £3 million to £45 million per annum.• During this period close working relationships were established with both the individual servicing laundries and the procurement and operational management teams of large multi-site customer organisations, ensuring that the service delivered was consistent and fit for purpose.• Examples of projects successfully delivered range from one off events such as the 2012 London Olympics, to the roll out of large scale £multi-million Chefswear and Linen services to Contract Catering, Restaurant and Hotel Groups.

• Employed by Johnsons Apparelmaster as General Manager of the Basingstoke Linen and Workwear plant during integration period following acquisition from Sketchley.

• Responsible for the successful establishment and development of Workwear Rental Services offered by Eastern Counties Laundries - supplying London and the South East .

• Joined Spring Grove as a graduate trainee in 1980 and held Production and Service Management roles at a number of UK plants. In 1990 given full commercial and operational responsibility for Spring Grove`s activities in Southern England / Wales as General Manager of the Chepstow and then Dagenham Profit Centres. • By the time of its acquisition by Sunlight (Berenson) in 1997 Spring Grove supplied a significant percentage of the UK Workwear market with a strong reputation for technical / systems innovation and quality of service.• In addition to fulfilling direct management responsibilities during this period I was heavily involved in the development and implementation of a number strategic group initiatives including the introduction of Bar Code Workwear tracking systems, Food Industry compliant processing methods and national structured Account Management training.• Assisted the central National Accounts team in the mobilisation and ongoing operational management of many strategic and diverse group customers including Coca Cola, Brake Brothers, News International and Kwikfit Tyres.
