Promoted within CME Europe to Head of Market Services and reporting to the CEO, I continued to manage all Operational functions (either directly or via Service Level Agreements) as well taking on additional responsibilities for relationships with Finance. I had responsibility for all operational functions including:- the live market, trading systems, new product launches, incentive programmes, fees, customer on-boarding, working with Legal on regulatory and legal changes, monthly budget reviews, 3rd Party relationships and for BCP/DR arrangements.- I was responsible for liaising with Finance, Audit, Risk, Marketing and BCP/DR teams. I was heavily involved in the Exchange's MiFID 2 programme and continued to manage the Exchange’s Operational Risk Framework, monitoring the various operational risks of the Exchange. - I also continued to work closely with the FCA on operational matters (such as the Brexit vote for instance).- I eventually had the responsibility to wind the Exchange down and close the markets.

I was one of a small entrepreneurial team that launched CME Group’s new start-up Recognised Investment Exchange in April 2014. Working collaboratively, I helped build the exchange and its markets from the ground up, cultivating internal stakeholder relationships with the Chicago and London CME Group teams. The majority of our functions were supplied via Service Level Agreements and I was responsible for managing those agreements with CME Group and CME Clearing Europe (our Clearing House). I had to establish solid relationships with key individuals to manage all of these services.I had responsibility for all operational functions including:- the live market, trading systems, new product launches, incentive programmes, fees, customer on-boarding, working with Legal on regulatory and legal changes, monthly budget reviews and for BCP/DR arrangements.I was instrumental in the successful launch of three new asset classes on the exchange (FX, Energy and Commodities) and the subsequent build-up of those markets.I was heavily involved the in the build and launch of the Cocoa futures contract, which included learning to grade cocoa and visiting warehouses in Europe.I also helped to implement and then manage the Exchange’s Operational Risk Framework.I also worked closely with our regulators (FCA) on all operational matters for the Exchange.

I spent 7 years providing change management expertise for Liffe Clearing and Business Change at NYSE Liffe.
