regularly visiting the Design course at Leeds Beckett giving talks on professional practice and tutoring students through their on-going design projects. During the spring and summer terms I tutor the students through their final projects, giving advice and guidance on issues from sketch and ideation techniques to manufacture feasibility.

Responsible for leading and Implementing all Industrial Design activities at Smartlabs. From strategy, to sketch, through CAD development on to manufacture for Smartlabs own range and bespoke customer products. While at Smartlabs I also worked with 'External clients' as Smartlabs Design, on a wide range of projects spanning UX Design, Visualisation, Industrial Design & Innovation.

For nearly two years I was employed Pace as a senior Industrial Designer. My role included :- Complete responsibility for all aspects of Industrial Design, ranging from Client relations (ID specific), concept generation, presentation and approval through to final 3D data creation, m&f and artwork specification, consultation through manufacture through to sign-off, approval and launch.- Commissioning and maintaining Paces Design trends information and reports.- Collaboratively setting the creative direction for Paces next generation products, every year delivering a fresh range look and feel at IBC Amsterdam.- Working closely with Sales and Marketing teams during the RFP process to create accurate, appropriate designs for existing and prospective customers across the world.- Day to day working closely with our hardware, mechanical and ECAD teams to bring products to market on time, cost and quality.

My role included being part of a design team working on pay TV and connected home products for 2012 - 2014, working with over 100 clients worldwide. The role involved leading the Industrial design process from initial contact with the customer and understanding their brand needs through concept generation and presentation on to design finalisation and hand over to manufacture. It is then my role to maintain the look, feel and experience of the product through to market launch.I am also involved with running collaborations between Pace and the design course at Leeds Metropolitan University looking into the future of TV and the connected home.

This position involved being responsible for all aspect of product and usability design for a range of baby and child consumer products for Tommee Tippee. I was the lead designer on the Audio digital monitor (winner of the Junior design awards 2011) and Digital Video monitor (Winner of the Innovation award at Cologne baby and Child show 2011). I was also part of the design team working on a full refresh of tableware released in Autumn 2011, most notably being responsible for re-designing the roll 'n' go bib range and snacking products.

Responsible for designing, sourcing and hand finishing the 3D products (Childrens mobiles, guardian angels) for Modo Creative. I am also involved with contributing illustrations and Illustrator content for personalised and non personalised prints (family tree) and Cards.

For over two years, I worked as a product designer in the Consumer lifestyle studio in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. In this role I work on a variety of projects, from high end television sets, to security equipment and was the lead designer on the 2009 Philips Audio visual remote control range, winning an iF award for the Aurea tv remote (released September 2009) Along side internal Philips work I had the opportunity to work with external clients, Neopost, with my concept going into production in January 2013 (http://www.neopost.co.uk/ds-65-folder-inserter) I have also lead and been part of teams undertaking Road-mapping and future exploration activities, working closely with I-lab and Apptech – Philips’ technology innovation sector. Through working at Philips Design I have gained valuable experience working closely with clients within and outside Philips, meeting tight deadlines and answering demanding briefs.
