Richard is currently the Senior Network & Systems Administrator for a global manufacturer of nonwoven materials and engineered papers. While with HV, he has ensured the stability and integrity of in-house network infrastructure and services. His other responsibilities are installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure, services, and computer systems while providing technical support to staff.In this capacity, Richard’s success has included:► Providing secure, robust, and cost-effective connectivity between central offices and other locations including Chinaand Germany.► Designing, implementing, and maintaining Information Technology Systems for global deployment.► Maintaining 100% asset security using Mobile Device Management (MDM), Kaspersky Security Console (KSC), Solarwinds Orion to monitor equipment’s physical location and connectivity.► Managing site-to-site connectivity across 20+ global locations including Germany, UK, China, India, and Mexico.

Prior to his position as a Senior Systems and Network Administrator with HVC, Richard was a Systems Administrator with Inter-Lakes Health. As an administrator, he streamlined systems to ensure integrity of high-availability network infrastructure and provide maximum performance for users. Richard also served as a technical advisor to CIO and IT Manager, improving the Inter-Lakes Health technical outlook.Some of his notable accomplishments in this role were:► Modernizing Inter-Lakes Health Systems infrastructure, utilizing Windows Server 2008R2 and 2012R2, that allowed advanced features such as IIS 8, Item-Level Targeting, DFS-R, and centralized server management.► Redesigning network infrastructure to include implementation of multiple Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) that increased physical and logical security with Access-Control Lists.► Creating deployment and updated systems so end users were current with updates, software, and operating systems while reducing unplanned downtime.► Designing and implementing VMWare Virtualization Cluster hosting 40 production servers by utilizing VMware ESXi 5.5 and Dell EqualLogic ISCSI SAN Storage.Richard got his teeth cut in the technology industry as a field support engineer with Symquest Group and also as a data systems specialist with the United States Marine Corps.

-Completed troubleshooting on networked devices for Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) assets for a squadron of approximately 300 personnel.-Scheduled training events for job occupation in order to stay DoD compliant for the USMC.-Configured Cisco devices and successfully utilized them in a tactical environment while maintaining network security.-Inventoried network devices on monthly and quarterly bases to ensure equipment is accounted for and functioned properly.-Sent malfunctioned devices to the maintenance section by following their specific standard operating procedures.-Worked jointly with other job functions in the work place to include radio operations as well as wire cable technicians.
