My wife Judy and I established the company in 1996 . Currently we are commissioned selling Agents for Sunbeam Appliances, VAX Floorcare AKUBRA, RANS, along with our recreational division designing and sourcing product related to outdoor. Also state distributor of Viva Fishing (Lox Crucis) www.sherriffagencies.com.au Since 1996 we have also successfully managed several other national brands in Tasmania including Ilve, Micro Furnace Musicway Dyson Appliances (17 years) , JVC,Our son Matt manages agency sales calling on our established retail customer base throughout the state.

During my last 6 years of employment with Sunbeam and prior to the branch closure I managed Sunbeam Appliance Division, Vica Mowers, Treco Garden Sheds & Ransomes Golf Machinery and Equipment Division. At the time of branch closure I was appointed Tasmanian sales Agent for Victa and Treco. and twelve months later appointed Tasmanian Sales Agent for Sunbeam Appliances for Tasmania through our company Sherriff Agencies.

Represented Valentine Publishing Company selling greeting cards and stationary to Newsagents & departmental stores. This was a period of rapid growth for the Valentine brand as the product was expanded into departmental stores. My area of responsibility covered, George Town, Scottsdale, Launceston including the N.W Coast through to Smithton..

Joined G J Coles 1964 and worked as a Departmental Manager in several variety stores in both Tasmania and Victoria. Also won the Sir Edgar Coles cricket batting average trophy whilst playing in the Coles Team in Melbourne
