An experienced principal investor, investment banking and private equity specialist.Since October 2011, a principal at Long Harbour, an originator and manager of investments in long-term asset classes suitable for liability driven investors. Total capital invested to date in excess of £2bn, with specific funds investing in residential freeholds (GBP & Euro), commercial ground leases (Euro), social infrastructure and the PRS/BTR sector. A key focus is aggregating core and non-core inflation linked asset flows.In 2011 formed Blackhall Capital Limited (“BCL”), providing structuring, funding and transaction execution services to investors in long-term, secure, liability driven investment classes. Prior to BCL, I spent 8 years as a Managing Director of a privately owned real estate group, where I built and managed the debt and capital franchise.During this period, I was responsible for increasing assets under management to in excess of £2.5bn through the acquisition, funding and associated hedging of real estate and infrastructure style regulated assets, utilising senior and mezzanine debt, CMBS, funds, fixed rate and inflation hedging. Also led corporate M&A transactions both private to private and public to private. During this period I was instrumental in building the UK’s largest private residential ground rents business.Previously head of the Energy and Natural Resources team at Abbey National Treasury Services, focussing on the financing of power generation and oil and gas projects in Europe, North America, Middle East and Australia. Prior to this at Mizhuo Corporate Bank (Fuji & IBJ) working in project finance on power generation, natural resources, water desalination, PFI / infrastructure and telecoms projects in Europe and the Middle East. I also spent 5 years at NatWest in the UK and Monte Carlo.
