Serves as the Section Administrator and Medical Simulation Technician for the CRDAMC, Medical Simulation Center, whose primary mission supports the Graduate Medical Education’s Family Medicine Residency, Emergency Medicine Residency, and various other programs too numerous to list. Oversees preparation medical simulation training and exercises; overall responsible for directing and coordinating marketing, training, supply, and budgetary requirements of the Simulation Center; performs administrative functions internally and externally for the center; extensive planning, organization, and analyzing of accumulated data and information.Advises and communicates with the Medical Simulation Chief and Graduate Medical Education program director, addressing training, concerns, reports, equipment, and budgetary matters; meets and coordinates with internal and external agencies to support and justify purchases; initiates and maintains documentation for budgetary requirements; performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs of the center’s facility and equipment.Coordinates, prepares and helps conduct all medical simulation scheduling and training with task trainers and highly sophisticated virtual reality simulators; ensures personnel adhere to Standard Operating Procedures regarding the appropriate use of simulators and related equipment; trains and certifies program staff, proctors, and students on the capabilities and safe operation of simulation equipment; digitally track and report training outcomes and performance, ensuring conditions and actions produce the desired results; perform as a proctor / technician during training, and supervise program staff in the conduct of medical simulation as necessary; remains abreast of current technology, conducting research and advising on matters concerning the application and utilization of all equipment.
