Responsible for the design and overseeing development of all the company's aftersales suite of products including service plan, tyres, service booking and parts and accessory e-commerce applications from concept through to general availability. The role includes negotiating with data suppliers & payment gateway providers, creating new products and software features, creating databases and working closely with Sales in a technical pre-sales capacity with prospective software purchasers. Clients include major UK car dealer groups and OEMs.

Created and ran car sales and servicing e-commerce platforms reporting to the Group MD.

Franchised car dealers representing Fiat, Nissan and MG Rover. Founded the company in 2001. Created the business plan and cashflow projections to successfully raise finance to purchase the business premises, stock and for working capital. Negotiated with major car manufacturers to acquire each franchise. Ran the company for 8 years achieving vehicle sales and parts purchasing targets. Highlights included being one of the first FSA authorised and regulated car dealerships in the UK and one of the first car dealerships to use Google Adwords to sell vehicles and parts online.

Responsible for cashflow planning, budgeting, management accounting and group reporting for 20 franchised car dealerships. Role included improving aftersales profitability and sales performance, internal audit of underperforming dealerships, implementing daily operating controls, recruiting and training management accountants. Special projects included setting up a vehicle parts purchasing and sales company sourcing parts from EU suppliers and being a member of the team which created one of the UK's first internet vehicle sales companies in 1997.
