I am a Technical Director with responsibility for all aspects of transport planning service delivery across a regional Transport Planning business unit. I have a remit for developing and leading a client service delivery strategy, which includes my role as Commission Manager for the Wokingham Highways Alliance professional services contract. I am also responsible for leading various multi-disciplinary and multi-office projects, primarily for local authorities and Highways England.

I am accountable for the operational and financial performance of the Guildford transport planning business which comprises a team of 45 and I work as part of a regional management team responsible for service delivery across the south-east. I lead through example with commitment to exemplary project delivery, working with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve client objectives within required programmes and budgets.• Divisional lead with responsibility for building and managing a team of circa 30 transport professionals.• Framework Discipline Lead for key clients including Buckinghamshire County Council and Central Bedfordshire Council.• Traffic and Economics Lead for Highways England AS14 (RIS Area 6 South) schemes including developing business cases for major improvements on the A12 in accordance with WebTAG and PCF process.• Responsible for the delivery of compliant funding bids resulting in awards through the Local Sustainable Transport Fund, Local Pinch Point, and Local Devolved Major Scheme bids for schemes worth over £40m.• Prince2 Project Manager for a wide range of projects from feasibility studies to major scheme and planning policy evidence base.• Local Authority Lead Officer for Policy, Strategy and Development teams, providing technical and management expertise working with officers and members.• Representative of both local authority and developer teams in pre- and post-application negotiations with highway authorities, developers and their consultants • County Council highways representative at public committee meetings for planning applications including residential, retail and nationally important employment sites.• County Council representative working closely with District Councils at examinations in public (EIP) for Development Plan Documents (DPD’s).• Technical expert in the production of comprehensive transport studies including transport assessment, strategy, modelling and appraisal.

Responsible for flawless technical execution of transport projects with a focus on strategic (SATURN, VISUM) and micro-simulation (VISSIM) modelling studies. Developed a range of sound technical traffic models for Local Authorities to assess road improvement schemes, traffic management systems, air quality impacts and transport plans. Delivered transport models for private sector clients, including models that were audited and accepted for use by the Highways Agency. I project managed a dedicated team of 10 staff as part of an £0.85m per annum Highways Agency data collection contract, including the collection and analysis of data from up to 2000 sites across the Southern Region of England.
