I am chairing an IPEM task and finish group with the aim of surveying the role of MR in radiotherapy across the NHS. The group is a multi-disciplinary with 11 members.

Scientific management and MPE support for setting up, maintaining and ongoing development of an MRI simulation clincial service for radiotherapy at the Leeds Cancer Centre. Key responsibilities included: safety framework development, creation of training programs, developing and execution of acceptance testing and commissioning plans, and development of a comprehensive quality assurance (QA) program documented on a ISO9000 quality management system. This role involves supporting the development of a research programme on the MRI sim, including being primary supervisor for multiple PhD students and setting up/maintaining collaborations with other hospitals and industry.

Scientific management at the Leeds Cancer Centre for a major CRUK funded network grant involving 5 UK institutions. I am the national leader of the MRI in radiotherapy work stream and this work involves me managing a national collaborative project, line managing research staff, supervising multiple research students (up to PhD level) and chairing a working group producing international guidelines on the safe use of MRI for radiotherapy treatment planning. I also fulfill clinical duties at an MPE level which include scientific management of installation of a MRI simulator in Leeds.

An integral part of the radiotherapy imaging team in Leeds working with responsibilities for: checking a range of complex treatment plans; linac QA; linac output dosimetry; dosimetric verification of IMRT plans; review of 4DCT scans; teaching and training; providing scientific support for patient treatment issues; system administrator for a range of clinical software.
