In my role as Industrial & Logistics CEO, and a member of Charter Hall’s Group Executive team, I’m motivated to further grow our leading industrial and logistics property business; the second largest in Australia with $23 billion of funds under management and a $6billion development pipeline.I lead a team of 90 industrial property specialists managing over 300 predominantly high quality properties across 6millionsqm of space in key growth markets. We create, own and manage a geographically diverse property portfolio that meets the strategic needs of our tenant customers while also meeting the long term return objectives of our investors. In my prior role as Group Executive - Global Investor Relations, my responsibilities included raising capital and managing our local and global relationships with listed, wholesale and retail investors with the Group consistently rated above its peers and delivering top quartile performance. My responsibilities also included leading the growth of Charter Hall’s Direct Property business (office, industrial, retail) to be the leading fund manager in the unlisted retail investor sector. I have over 30 years experience in real estate investment and funds management, investor relations, real estate finance, asset and development management, accounting and risk in Australia and overseas. Prior to joining Charter Hall, I was a Division Director of Macquarie Group and CEO of Macquarie Direct Property Management Ltd. Before that I worked in senior management roles at Lend Lease and PwC. Outside of work I’m a keen sportsman, participating in competitive sailing, skiing, golf and triathlons. I’m also involved with my children and their strong interest in sport and surf lifesaving. As a member of the NSW Board of Advisers for the Property Industry Foundation, I help steer the industry to provide financial and in-kind support to charities who are making a tangible difference to the lives of at-risk and homeless young people. To date the Foundation has distributed over $25m to charity partners.

In my role as Industrial & Logistics CEO, I lead Charter Hall’s $19b industrial business as well as overseeing a $5.5 billion development pipeline , responsible for the investment management, development, asset and property management of Australia’s largest industrial and logistics property portfolio and managing relationships with our investor and tenant customers.As a member of Charter Hall’s Group Executive, I’m responsible for leading the growth and strategic development of the Industrial & Logistics business. I am focused on providing quality investment opportunities and consistent returns for investors, providing high quality facilities for tenants tailored to their business needs in key industrial hubs in Australia. Charter Hall has been actively growing its portfolio of high quality industrial and logistics facilities over recent years. Group Executive, Global Investor Relations
In 2016, I assumed responsibilities for global investor relations, in addition to my role as Head of Direct Property. In this role I led the raising of capital globally and locally for pooled funds, new investor partnerships and joint ventures, as well as managing our relationships with listed, wholesale and retail investors. Since taking on this role in 2016, over $5b in equity has been raised from listed, wholesale and retail capital to grow the Charter Hall listed and unlisted funds management platform. Charter Hall funds and its Investor Relations function are widely recognised by independent researchers, financial advisers, investors and competitors as leading the unlisted retail sector with high quality, innovative products investing in high quality institutional grade assets with strong fundamentals including long lease tenure to quality tenants. The leading position of this business has been recognised by the consistent top quartile outperformance of the funds. During my time leading this function I established an offshore presence for Charter Hall covering North America, Asia/Europe. This has resulted in investors from 13 different countries including USA, Canada, Japan, Korea, Netherlands investing in Charter Hall’s wholesale and retail pooled funds and partnerships. Capital raising since 2016 for our market leading wholesale pooled office and industrial funds and new wholesale partnerships has resulted in over $3b in new capital committed by investors.
Head Of Direct Property
In my time in this role I have overseen the rise of Charter Hall’s Direct Property business (office, industrial, retail) from outside the top 10 Managers to be the number one fund manager in the unlisted retail investor sector in just three years. This leadership position has been successfully maintained since 2013 with consistently outperforming the MSCI/IPD wholesale property index. I was responsible for leading the establishment and structuring of new funds, the management of these funds, including overseeing transactional, development, asset and property management as well as capital raisings. Since 2010, the Direct Property division launched 11 new funds, raised $2.1b in retail investor capital (average investment $100,000 per investor) and acquired over $3b in assets, as well as disposing over $1b in non-core assets to total $3.1bn in June 2018. New funds launched included the Direct Industrial Fund (DIF) series including DIF4, which owns and manages over $1b in assets, and the Direct Office Fund which is the largest unlisted retail fund in the sector with $1.7b of assets under management. The Charter Hall Direct business funds have returned on average 13.7% pa since inception, outperforming the MSCI/IPD Wholesale Property Index by 3.7% pa. The business was awarded Zenith and Money Management Commercial Property Fund Manager of the Year in 2016 and 2017 for its high quality and innovative product.
Division Director And Ceo Macquarie Direct Property
Heavily involved in the growth of Macquarie Direct Property (office, industrial and retail) as Division Director assuming the CEO role in 2008 and growing the funds under management of $1.4b. Role and responsibilities in line with Charter Hall Direct role. Key achievements include resetting the strategy from an underperforming single and multiple asset syndicate business to a direct property and distribution business raising over $300m a year. Grew business revenues from $6m pa in 2004 to over $30m in 2008. Structured funds effectively to allow mergers of syndicates and offshore investment in Asian and Europe that resulted in the flagship Macquarie Direct Property Fund growing to $1.4b in 2.5 years. The Direct Property Fund was awarded Australian Property Institute Fund of the Year 2007. Managed the Direct business through the GFC and positioned its reputation well through strategic asset/fund sales, debt refinancing and ultimately its acquisition by Charter Hall in 2010.

Key roles and responsibilities included working with senior management teams in analysing their business risk profile as part of annual strategic planning and initial investment and joint venture analysis. Advised the Board quarterly on the group risk profile, including current and emerging risks and recommended risk management strategies.
