I feel honoured to have worked with some amazing colleagues at Bristol Business School as part of the Organisational Studies team. I helped to design and support the delivery and assessment of academic and developmental programmes for both full time and executive MBA students, plus a number of Undergraduate courses and Business Professional workshops. I was responsible for the Personal & Professional Skills stream on the Full Time MBA which covered the development of practical leadership and emotional intelligence skills. These are essential for MBA graduates taking up influential roles after graduation - either as senior managers or technical leads. I covered sessions to help students to develop better Self-Awareness, improve Influencing and Communication skills, create the foundations for High Performing Teams, improve Creative Collaboration, and Manage Conflict through 'Courageous' (i.e. difficult) Conversations.

After working in 4 major industries as a key worker, specialist and leader (1981-1994; Oil, Automotive, IT Development, and Recruitment), I joined forces with two creative and passionate people to establish Teleios Consulting Limited - a new Business and Organisational Development consultanty in 1994. I worked within the Praxis Centre at Cranfield which offered bespoke leadership development programmes for whole organisations. I was a member of various teams who worked closely with particular clients. I designed and ran leadership development modules which required experiential learning, psychometric profiling (i.e. understanding emotional intelligence), and Executive Coaching.

I was one of two Founding Partners in an Executive Search & Selection Company, where I specialized in pioneering rigorous methodologies for Client Assessment & Development Centers. I also ran a number of High Profile Key Person Recruitment Campaigns for large businesses involved in Insurance, Banking, Pharmaceuticals, I.T. and Law.

MITAC (Motor Industry Training and Consultancy) was a specialist Management Consultancy run by a brilliant entrepreneur called Keith Foster. The company worked exclusively in the Retail Motor Industry and clients included multinational manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz, BMW, VW Audi, Peugeot Citroen (PSA), Renault, Volvo, and Honda. Numerous dealer groups were also clientele and some of the largest included Lookers plc, Evans Halshaw and Inchcape. Keith pioneered break-through original ideas in Financial Management and I was part of a team who helped him to develop Financial Forecasting and Business Management Software for Senior Managers who worked in this sector. I also ran training programmes and became the National Project Manager for one of the UKs largest car manufacturers, who pioneered an innovative Technician Recruitment Programme created by MITAC.

Geoservices was a French Oil Industry Services and Consultancy Business (founded in 1958 and incorporated into Schlumberger in 2010). I worked on numerous Exploration Platforms for clients such as Shell and BP in South West France, West Africa, Norway, and Scotland. I also provided maintenance services for Shell on their North Sea Production Platforms.
