Ensures the requirements of AFI 13-112, Volume 1, are implemented and oversees the training and utilization of unit’s joint terminal attack controller-instructor(s). I also use anecdotal and empirical evidence to determine training priorities, objectives and desired outcomes. Accomplishments:Developed from the ground up the first JTAC-I upgrade operating procedures for the 8th ASOS within 60 days of taking the position of the Chief JTAC-I. During my time as a JTAC-I I trained over 15 US JTAC students resulting in a 100% JTAC evaluation pass rate as well as over 60 foreign students from over 15 NATO nations and over 20 American Special Operators in advanced CAS tactics, techniques, and procedures. Was hand picked to test the VBS2 simulator with American/Slovenian Special Operators acting as their JTAC, my performance was lauded by the Special Operation Command (S8). -
Operations SuperintendantUnited States Air Force Mar 2008 - Mar 2012Randolph Afb, Tx, UsAs the Operations Superintendant manage and lead the Operations section of the squadron which is made up of 14 JTAC/ROMAD Operators and approximetly 12 million dollars worth of equipment and weapons systems.AccomplishmentsThrough careful networking with NATO partners I was able to secure realistic training opportunities to fulfill all semi-annual JTAC currency training for all of the Squadron’s JTAC teams within 2 hours of the Aviano Air Base cutting back on lodging costs and time away from home for all Operators as opposed to costly trips to the U.S. or Germany. This ensured 100% Combat Mission Readiness in less time and at a fraction of the cost, in addition to this new Tactic, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) were developed with our NATO partners.Managed the Security program, Communications Security program, Unit Deployment Manager Program, and Operations Security program during the 8th ASOS’s first Unit Compliance Inspection, attained 100% in compliance with no comments in all areas. Flawless work was commended by the inspectors and I received “Best in Group” for each program. -

During the deployment I was also the CAS/Air Power Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the 1-91 Calvary Battalion Commander and attended multiple conferences on civilian casualties’ prevention as the only enlisted member of the SME team which reported directly to General Petraeus. Performance was lauded by higher command and I was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.Deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom with 5th and 10th Special Forces Group. Completed United States Army Pathfinder Course, Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat (SFAUC) Course, Center Axis Relock Course, and the Tactical Air Control Party Craftsmen Course. -
