• Managed the day to day operations of four business units - two aggregate and two HMA (Hot Mix Asphalt) facilities. • Working with sales created daily, monthly, and yearly forecasts of revenue and production of each product. Approved spending and invoices for all four sites, managed the P&L and made corrections when necessary. Also oversaw inventory fly overs conducted with a drone. • Managed capital projects that included new equipment acquisition, equipment refurbishments, and stripping and excavating campaigns as needed to ensure mining reserves are available.• Created extensive spreadsheets to track daily sales, production, waste, and a daily ending inventory number. • Worked closely with the QC department as it related to product quality and monitored gradation reports daily for all plants and products. • Met with vendors regularly to make sure we were getting the best prices and quality for the materials purchased, including services. • Created a five-year plan for mobile equipment at each site to analyze the benefits of a rebuild or replacement. • Built a tracking tool for all heavy equipment (HE) to monitor their 250, 500, 750, 1,000, and 2,000 hour services. This tool would also track any repairs done to each piece of HE outside of any services.• Worked closely with production personnel to identify issues and to make sure we had a healthy and safe work environment. Walked with MSHA and OSHA during their inspections at each site. • Increased the tons per hour at the Aggregates sites approximately 60% by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and upgrading equipment.
