Partner In National Accounting Standards Group
CurrentRichard has been with McGladrey for 13 years, and is a partner in the National Accounting Standards Group, where he develops Firm guidance and consults on a variety of complex accounting issues. His areas of expertise include revenue recognition, leasing transactions, variable interest entities, and International Financial Reporting Standards. His responsibilities include consulting with clients and engagement teams on complex accounting issues associated with these subject matters, as well as facilitating related training and writing related interpretive guidance. He also is responsible for monitoring standard setting by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and International Accounting Standards Board. He is a former member of the FASB’s Valuation Resource Group (VRG) and a former member of the AICPA’s Financial Reporting Executive Committee (FINREC). He has also served on a number of task forces of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and working groups of the Emerging Issues Task Force (EITF).
